Half Life: Origins (Live Action Video)

HOLY SHIT! This video is awesome.  I got a really late start to the newest generation of gaming so I just played Half Life 2 earlier this year and it was easily one of my favorite games.  This just makes the series look even more awesome and shows more potential for a possible series of movies.  The only problem would be having a silent main character.  There was another great Half Life video somewhere in the depths of the youtube vaults.  I’ll try to unearth that and post it soon.

Everyone remembers the first time they stepped onto the Black Mesa Transit System and into the shoes of the unexpected hero, Gordon Freeman. Half-Life Origins is a short film that takes you back to where it all began.

Director’s Note: After 10+ years since it’s release, if you ever go back and replay the original Half-Life, it doesn’t look anything like you remember. The graphics are horrible compared to present day games, but years ago it blew my mind. This video plays with that contrast. I incorporated a fusion of live action and CG environments that give it a semi-realistic look, but also not realistic at the same time. Hope you enjoy it!

But instead of killing the aliens and passing the first level we’d just hit eachother with the crow bars and cry with laughter until I’d wet myself again I swear I had bladder issues. kingwithoutak: My first time play a “de” match in a while, mostly been playing GG…..maybe I should keep up with playing more dust ;D Felt great to see I was still doing well. This got me pretty excited for CS:GO, once it comes out it will probably be the only game I play for half a year.
